Involved in more than 300 metabolic reactions, magnesium is essential to the human body. A deficiency in this mineral can cause a range of health issues, something that I find in many of my clients.

I have many clients that complain of sleep issues. Some complain of tossing and turning for an hour or more, then grow anxious and restless and still not being able to sleep. It is common that one hour turns into two, then four, and then not being able to sleep for most of the night.  

I always suggest testing magnesium levels. Low magnesium levels can cause restlessness and poor sleeping patterns. Many times stomach issues or lack of appetite can be other symptoms of low magnesium. I commonly  recommended a magnesium lotion as the easiest way to remedy magnesium deficiencies.
